<reviewbody>This is a perfect example of the strange world of copyright...

Made using material pinched from 'Triumph of the Will' by Leni Riefenstahl, BritishPathe has this item on its website with its copyright slapped on it.

Here the same material appears in a newsreel that was put into the public domain by Universal.

So my guess is, using it in any way in Britain, I would be breaking the copyright law?</reviewbody>

<reviewbody>When the part with the Lambeth Walk was shown in Germany at a private screening for Goebbles, he couldn't help himself and started laughing. He thought it was hilarious.</reviewbody>

<reviewbody>Clips from "Triumph of the Will" reworked into an anti-Nazi propaganda short, making Hitler and his cronies look like wind-up dolls. Yes, Hitler's propaganda chief, Josef Goebbels, got a chance to see this film in his private screening room. He reportedly left the screening, kicking chairs and screaming profanities. Worth a download.</reviewbody>

<reviewbody>Actually, I have read several places that he completely flipped out and started breaking stuff. Based on what I know about Goebbels, the man didn't particularly have a good sense of humor.</reviewbody>

<reviewbody>I think its very telling that the Nazis allowed such parodies to be shown in germany. I have known former citizens of the Reich who remember this. </reviewbody>
